There are878 islands in Malaysia. This country is known for its stunning sights and attractions. We are going to explore its astounding natural beauty that magnetizes vacationers/ tourists or visitors attraction. It's a country of exclusive culture and tradition. It's one of the best places on the globe with delicious cuisine and hospitable people. Kuala Lumpur is its capital with charming iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Malaysia has many offshore geographical places. There would be around 510 which include ridges, sandbank and rocks. It's a multicultural state with many festivals and celebrations. Tour to Malaysia, is really a unique and pleasant experience. There're lots of choices to stay in Malaysia, so it's tough to decide where to stay? MY STORY - MISSA: <b>Makanan</b> Exotic dan <b>pelik di Sarawak</b> Posted: 15 Jul 2013 09:55 PM PDT Hmmm.. tajuk pun dah ngeri kan? Tak apa.. tak ada apa nak di ngerikan... Pernah tak tengok benda ni? Ini namanya ULAT SAGU atau di Sarawak dipanggil ULAT MULONG. Buat apa? Buat makan la.... Hihihi. Kalau di Semenanjung benda ni orang buat umpan baung je. Rasanya sedap kak oi!! Lemak-lemak. Yg saya pernah makan yg goreng aje. Ada yg makan mentah. Yg tu saya tak berani nak cuba la kan... Memula tu,memang la rasa geli.. tapi dah namanya hati batu kan.. ngap aje la.. Pas tu dah rasa sedapnya...hmmm... mencari lagi lepas tu. Jangan risau pasal status HALAL atau HARAM benda ni. Mufti Negeri Sarawak telah mengesahkan bahawa ulat ini halal di makan. So, sesiapa nak cuba adalah di alu-alukan. Pas tu up-date kat sini ye... Yang ini pula adalah OBOR-OBOR rendam yg telah dimasinkan. Sapa kata obor-obortak boleh makan? Pernah tak sesapa makan salay ikan yg bulat2 tu? Kalau tak caya, cuba cek dia tulis apa? JELLY FISH a.k.a OBOR-OBOR. Memang halal sebab ia adalah spesis ikan atau sotong. Di sini orang jual secara mentah. Yg berendam ni dah dimasinkan. So bila nak makan tu, potong kecik-kecik, perahkan limau, potongkan bawang merah dan cili padi... makan dengan nasi panas... SEDAP!!! Rasanya kenyal-kenyal... Macam makan cencaluk atau budu rasanya. Yang ini orang Sarawak panggil KUPANG.. tapi pada saya bukan kupang kot... Entah kerang jenis apa pun tak tau. Nampak cam lala tapi besar-besar. Nampak cam kijeng, tapi dari air laut. Nak makan, suka kitalah nak buat cam mana kan.. nak rebus boleh, nak buat sambal boleh, nak masak gulai pun boleh... ikut la selera kita..... Ha... yg ini memang ikan... Ikan Mayong Salai.... Murah je .. selonggok RM 10 cuma nak dapatkan dia agak susah juga sebab jadi rebutan. Saya beli ikan salai ni di Pasar Serian, dlm 45 minit dari Bandar Kuching. Makan cam mana? Kalau orang Iban, masak ikan ni cam masak sup. Campur la dengan sayur seperti TERUNG IBAN, UMBUT NIPAH, UMBUT ASAM PAYA.... pelik kan? Tapi benda2 cam ni senang aje nak cari di pasar. Nak buat gulai pun boleh... terserah lah... Yang saya tahu, ikan ni memang sedap. TERUNG IBAN? Hmm... ada la plak kan.. Hehehe. Ada orang panggil TERUNG ASAM sebab rasanya agak masam sikit. Rupa dia cam terung bulat tapi warnanya kuning atau hijau atau kekadang warna coklat. Dalam dia pun cam terung jugak. Masak dengan ikan salai memang terasa la masam dia. Ini la rupa TERUNG IBAN Saya tak tau lah di Semenanjung ada ke tak terung ni. Selama saya memasak ni, memang tak pernah jumpa pun. Mungkin dipanggil dengan nama lain, saya tak pastilah. UMBUT-UMBUTAN. Orang-orang Iban memang suka makan umbut-umbutan ni. Umbut Nipah yang dipanggil UPAK APONG, umbut asam paya yang dipanggil UPAK MARAM. Nak ambil id memang susah sebab ke2-2 tumbuhan ni duk dalam tempat berair. Tapi kalau orang tak suka makan benda pahit, baik tak payah makan la.. sebab umbut ni pahit. Tapi kalau kena dengan gaya masakan, gian jadi nya..cam saya. Gian bila digulaikan dengan sardin ikan bilis... Hahaha. Pahit pun pahit lah.. tapi sedap!!! Ini la rupanya Umbut Nipah (Upak Apong) Ini rupanya Umbut Asam Paya (Upak Maram) yang telah diracik-racik untuk di masak. Kedua-dua umbut ni tak tahan lama, tebang aje kena terus masak. Kalau simpan esok dia kan jadi keras dan berhampas, dah tak boleh makan dah. BUAH ASAM PAYA (MARAM) Kat Sarawak ni buah asam paya ni dijual di pasar. Buat rencah masakan. Makanan yang saya makan di sini dgn asam paya ni adalah dgn pucuk paku tanjung atau di sini org panggil paku ikan. Sedap! (Hahaha.. semua sedap kat tekak aku ni!) Orang Iban panggil buah MARAM. Inilah rupa asam paya yang dijual di pasar-pasar di Sarawak. Harga murah je, selonggok RM2. Nak tau dia dah masak ke belum, yg masak baunya wangi. BUAH EMPULUR Buah ni rupa cam buah sukun. Pokok dia pun cam pokok sukun tapi bukan buah sukun. Ini rupa buahnya. Saya tak pernah jumpa buah ni di Semenanjung. tak tau apa nama dia di Semenanjung. Yang saya tau kalau sukun tak ada biji tapi buah ni banyak biji. Semasa muda, buah ni oarng buat sayur. Masak lemak ke buat gulai ke, sama cam masak nangka muda. Rasa dia pun lebih kurang sama. Biji dia yang dah tua pula, orang makan rebus. Kalau ikutkan saya, rasa biji empulur rebus ni lagi sedap dari biji nangka atau cempedak. Rasa dia lagi lemak dan tak bergetah. Ini biji empulur yg dah siap rebus. RENGGUANG Hmm... ini rupanya rengguang. Saya sedang memegang seekor rengguang. Haiwan ini adalah spesis ketam. Tinggal di dalam kawasan berair masin di paya bakau. Binatang ini akan tinggal di dalam lubang yang dibina di tepi paya bakau. Ada busut yg terbina sebab dia akan mengorek tanah sehingga sampai ke paras air (Tabiat ketam). Bila hujan lebat, air tawar naik maka binatang ini akan keluar dan bersantai di dalam air masin sebab tak tahan dengan air tawar. Masa tu lah org sibuk menangkap dia. Rupa dia di dalam air. Ini rupa penuh rengguang. Rupa rengguang dlam baldi. Rupa dia cam udang atau lebih rupa cam kala jengking cuma ekor dia bengkok ke depan bukan ke belakang. Dia mempunyai sepit besar seperi ketam. Kepala dia sama cam udang galah. Seeokor berat dia dalam 600g ke 800g. Sepit dia biasanya sebelah besar dan sebelah kecik. Yang bayak isi adalah kat sepit dia. Jaga2 ye, kalau tak pandai tangkap, dia bleh sepit kita.. Kat ekor orang suka makan telur dia aje. Rasa dia sama je cam ketam. Status halal? Binatang ini bukan 2 alam dan makanan asas dia rumput dan tanah (sama cam ketam). Ia adalah spesis udang / ketam. Bawah perut dia ada jejari untuk dia berenag di dalam air. Masaklah cam masak udang atau ketam. rasa dia memang sedap. Binatang ni orang tak jual sebab susah nak cari. Musim hujan baru boleh jumpa. Nasib2 la kalau2 ada oarng jual ket tepi jalan. KETAM NIPAH yang ni tak payah cerita pun tak pe. kat Semenanjung ni banyak tapi mahal je la. Ramai org Melayu tak makan, katanya dua alam. Untuk pengetahuan anda, ketam ini adalah ketam yg duduk di air di mana kaki sebelah belakang dia berbentuk kipas untuk berenang dan di bawah badan dia ada insang untuk menyimpan air bagi tahan lama di darat. Bila kering insang tu, maka matilah dia. So, ia adalah halal di makan. Ktam nipah. Nampak tak kaki belakang dia? Ketam yg haram di makan adlah ketam batu yg hampir serupa dengan dia tapi kaki belakang dia sama je cam kaki2 yg lain. Dia boleh duduk di dalam air dan duduk di atas darat. Jadi haram di makan. Ini ketam batu. Walau macam mana pun tiada fatwa yang sahih tentang ketam ni. Ada pendapat mengatakan bahawa semua jenis ketam ini boleh di makan. Saya tak tahulah nak cakap cam mana, tapi masa saya bersekolah agama Johor dulu, inilah yang saya belajar. Beza ketam nipah dan ketam batu yg boleh di makan dan yang tak boleh di makan. So ikut lah kata hati anda. Kalau was-was, jangan lah makan. Kalau yakin halal, maka itu rezeki anda. Ini adalah pengalaman saya makan di Sarawak di dalam keluarga mertua saya berbangsa Iban. Pada saya semuanya menarik. So.. kalau berkunjung ke Sarawak, boleh lah try makanan cam ni ye.. |
